Table Tennis, a club which prides themselves on being a relaxing, fun and friendly club have started off their BUCS season with great success.

The club of 62 members provides a fun yet competitive environment for the 2 BUCS teams, Men’s 1s and Women’s 1s. Since the start of the 2014-2015 season, the Table Tennis Club have had some impressive results and some matches which have pushed the team to work together.

The Men’s 1s came into their first week of BUCS playing against the University of South Wales Pontypridd and Cardiff and they definitely did show them how Bath play sport, coming out with an impressive win of 13 to 4. Their second game was again against another Welsh team, this time of Aberystywth University. Although a nail biting and tense game, the boys showed full determination and team work to come through with a 9-8 victory. All in all, this was two very successful games for Team Baths Men’s 1s. Well done, keep it up for the rest of the season!

_MG_5123The Women’s 1s have had some difficult matches since the start of the 2014-2015 season though. Despite showing great team cohesion and willpower, the ladies have narrowly missed out on the win against Cardiff, Southampton and Exeter.  This doesn’t however dampen our Ladies team attitude, as they go onto their future matches with even more determination and motivation.

Table Tennis doesn’t just cater for the competitive players however. They also provide a number of casual training sessions which are perfect for those who wish to play at a recreational level. Within these sessions they help individuals to improve, whatever their current standard. The club also provides social games for these recreational players which just adds to the overall excitement and team feeling the Table Tennis Club have established.

Overall the club have jumped from strength to strength and hope to continue this in the future. Good club for your future matches!
